Again, you have to look at each Pennzoil product to determine if they were made in Canada. PUP is Made in Canada, as is Pennzoil Platinum. 5W30 Euro L is made in Canada. 0w30 Euro LX is made in Germany. 5W40 Euro is made in the USA. When I say Made in Canada, I am referring to the Canadian consumer market.

My favorite is Federated Co-op. Made in Regina, Saskatchewan at their refinery.

Their petrochemicals are easily found in pretty much every corner of this Province, small town or city.
Plus I won $20 on a $2 scratch and win on Christmas Day a couple of years ago at the Whitewood, SK Co-op. I shared the winning with the cashier because he picked out the ticket.
That got me a free large coffee.
The last time I filled up at a Co-op was last August in Dunmore, Alberta a mile east of the Kubota dealership.
A young farmer filling up his pickup said that Co-op delivers dyed fuel to his farm, but he got caught once using it in his pickup.
So now he fills up at the gas station with the rest of the peasants.

Federated Co-op purchased Husky’s gas stations in Western Canada a few years ago and now the one Husky Station in our town upgraded and rebranded as a Co-op. I don’t think there is a Co-op bulk dealer nearby.
I remember that Husky on the “Strip”. We used to go there for breakfast after the bars closed.
The Husky House restaurant in Golden and Sicamous have Esso fuel pumps and commercial card locks.
I’ll have to check Strathmore, Alberta next time I go past there.
I can think of a few others, Cache Creek, Prince George south industrial park, Edmonton East truck stop.
I get around you know.

I'm switching from Mobil 1 0w40 fs (in my truck and Oldsmobile) to Castrol 0w40 and Kirkland signature 5w30 from Costco (also made in USA) to any 5w30 synthetic that's made in Canada and on sale for my wife's Hyundai.

He was caught evading fuel taxes. Did he mention a fine?
It's why "home use" kerosene is red in the US.
It’s an honor in Saskatchewan to be caught with “ Purple Fuel” in your vehicle. Farm fuel in Saskatchewan , mainly for use in field equipment such as tractors and combines is exempt from road taxes and makes perfect sense. Its dyed purple and is available at the bulk tanks. All the cops have a test kit with a hose but not sure how they take samples in modern cars. It’s an obligation for farmers, who all have a bulk tank to sneak a tankful into their car once in a while. Stick it to the man!

For the 5w30 products I recommend the Pennzoil Platinum on sale at Canadian tire and hopefully coupled with the internet based rebate that might come in March or April. Check pennzoil.ca later this year.

The DOT can swab the exhaust pipe instead of taking a fuel sample from the tank.
The dye will show up when they put the swab in the test fluid.
I have a tax exempt card at Esso, but haven’t been caught using dyed fuel on the road. ( Yet )

Sure...but when the man sticks it to you, what does it cost?
Let’s ask @BrianF. Brian , also, how do the cops check a tank. I thought the hose can’t make it into the tank anymore. I know one thing, being caught with open liquor in a car in the late $70’s was $54, better known as a “ 54 “. Ask me how I know. :D

Edit: Userfriendly beat me to it.
