Is there any synthetic oil that is made in Canada? I know that Castrol Edge used to say "made in Canada" on it but I'm not sure if it does anymore. I heard that Petro Can comes from the US.

Hard to say. Their webpage only states "North American Made". No other mentions in the PDS or sales literature.I recently bought two 5l jugs of "Klondike" synthetic motor oil (in 5W-40) and the jugs alluded to Canada.
I don't recall if they read, "Made in Canada" or if the corporate address listed was Canadian.
Depends on what type of tree it comes from.Even when it gets to optimum operating temp?

Irving in New Brunswick has a contract to provide gear oil branded under the Canadian Tire Motomaster house blend. I have it in my 3/4 ton rear diff. When I lived in Maine, Irving Oil had a lot of gas stations / convenience stores there--I believe they had their own motor oil blends, but I can't quite recall. . .
