What oils are made in Canada?

Most Pennzoil and Quaker State grades are blended and bottled in Brockville, Ontario from domestic and imported components. The euro offerings are coming from Germany or US.

The Motomaster brand of oil at Canadian Tire is mostly Shell products, and bottled by Shell in Brockville.

Much of the Castrol sold here is blended and bottled in Toronto by Wakefield Canada from domestic and imported components. The euro offerings coming from Belgium or US.

Petro-Canada which is owned by HF Sinclair is the only one I know of that is making actual base oils for lubes in Canada.

Thank You for that info sir

There was another thread on this just lately.

And much like the Thick vs. Thin threads, it was locked.

Just about every major brand you'll find at Crappy Tire is made in Canada except for Mobil 1 and Valvoline, save for a few of the Euro brews. I actually recently bought PP instead of M1 solely for this reason. Usually the giveaway is that they come in 5L jugs rather than a gallon.

Some piston aircraft AeroShell oils are made in Canada. We are having a local shortage right now. No AeroShell 100, 120, 15W-50 to be found. I ended up purchasing Phillips multi-grade instead of my fav, AeroShell 15W-50.

The Consumer's Cooperative Refinery is located in my city of Regina, Saskatchewan. The Coop refines gasoline, fuel and produces engine oil and other lubricants. I believe member BrianF uses Coop lubricants in his 6.7 Cummins and other engines.

I'm on Vancouver Island and tried to get Co-op oil for my last oil change but was unable to source anything bigger than a 1L bottle. I called them up to ask about getting 5L bottles and was told they aren't sold anywhere on the island.

I'd say Co-op is the best option, being 100% Canadian sourced, refined, and bottled...and probably available fairly readily in large parts of Western Canada....just not for me.

There are several smaller brands that are Canadian. I recently saw a non-detergent straight 30 bottle of "Wakefield Oil" at Lordco and looked them up. They don't seem to make much of anything for gas engines but do have a diesel line of lubricants.
