MAC tools made in China

Not all "Chinese" is created equal. The Chinese make stuff per spec. Lousy spec=lousy tools.
They have the ability to make incredibly high quality stuff if given the specs and compensated for their efforts. Chinese electronics are second to none.

I don't know about their electronics but in some heavy industries they spec no chinese or indian suppliers of anything. Period. Raw materials or manufactured goods.
I imagine that will change in time as I don't hear of any chinese skyscrapers collapsing yet but I guess they are all still new...

Well, I watched a documentary on building the 3 Gorges Dam, one of the biggest construction projects in China, and much of the job was engineered by firms outside China. I wonder if that also meant materials were also sourced from outside China

First Craftsman wrench I saw made in China was a Functional Crescent Wrench for use as a Keychain.

Matco, Craftsman (till now), Armstrong, newer Kobalt, K-D all made by Danaher
Mac, Proto, Stanley are Stanley
Snap-On and old Kobalt Made by Snap-On
