M3P Ludicrous Review

Wonder what they will sell your old one for? i'm sure it's in good shape.
Our 2018 Model 3 Mid Range was obviously an early version. There have been so many upgrades over the years.
Yes, our car is as close to showroom condition as you will find, and only 22K on the clock. And it appears to be one of "the good ones" as compared to others with lessor build quality.

I would probably not buy my old Model 3 because the range is 270 miles @ 100% charge, or say 200 at 80% charge. Of course those are the published numbers, reality is less. Range is everything. In fact I talked 2 friends out of buying it for a couple of reasons.

But yes, someone will get a nice EV. My guess is around $25K. There are a lot of 'em out there, especially around here.

Pretty much what we all expected.

Everyone knows thats what people do with these, traffic light sprints. 99% of owners would never run into this as a concern.

Okay, let's say you have two movers. You know, guys who move things. One mover can deadlift 800#. One mover can deadlift 200#. After a hard day's work moving 100-200# furniture, who do you think is at more risk of developing soreness or injury?

This is probably why Teslas degrade so badly. 10% in the first year is the number I keep hearing. We may only be asking the movers to move 50#, but day after day, the guy who can DL 800# is going to find the job much less wear and tear, all other things equal.

Also...what kind of kit car trash is this? Brakes on fire? Losing 50% power? The car is 1-dimensional. Nothing else out there performs as trash as this. Not even a bloody box van. What would people say if a new Corvette performed like that? This car literally has "Performance" in its name...and yet. Maybe it should be called a "Tesla Sprinter", but that would be an insult to box vans everywhere. This may sound harsh, but Tesla was well aware of their thermal limitations as well as their trash brakes, and they re-did the car...supposedly...and purposefully neglected to balance its performance. This is very immature and about what I expect from a company making kit cars in tents out of home depot parts like they did a couple years ago. Not worth $50K in the least. $30K used, give it to kids to take to TnT at the local track and melt it. Just really a downer, this car.

Power never cut.
Brakes never overheated.

Why? Because even a transit van is a well rounded vehicle that matches the brakes to the engine to the cooling.

I didn't say I didn't care about it, I said the average buyer doesn't care. Look at the things that drive me nuts about most new vehicles and everyone tells me I'm wrong. Just because everyone is happy with heavy, overly complicated cars doesn't mean I need to be.

Common sense is gone. With reports of this going on with the Model 3 Performance I'll either just buy the new Golf R or an RS3 if I feel like stretching there. Hyundai needs to do the Ioniq 6 N and that may be the one for me, but I don't think there's an EV I want right now for my daily.

I get that many say that this or that is better than the RS3 or the Golf R but frankly I don't care. They do fun the way I like it regardless of what it's powered by.

Yeah, and they're properly balanced and don't nuke their brakes or overheat.
