M1C-251 (for Toyota Sienna) old metal version?

Glad to meet you guys, I am a newbee here (have been a reader for a while though) I recently ordered 12 M1C-251 filters from AAP (on sale $10 each -$30 off by coupon) and what I received are shelf stored old version of catridge filters. The boxes are all yellow just like M1 EP labels, not like gray toned box these days. Filter themselves look solid with nice rubber rings at both the ends of metal caps but I am concerned if they are as good as the blue cover version of these days. Any experiences/thoughts?
