I'm thinking of switching from M1 to the new 7500 blend. My wife's Hyundai specs 10w30, and my Ranger specs 5w-20, but I run 5w30.

Does anyone have any info on this new stuff, or do I need to wait for the info to start rolling in?

Any idea how much PAO is in this? If it is anything like the other blend they are phasing out, it should be good?

Thanks,
Brian

I was just looking at the clean 7500 blend 5w-20 oil. One of the few that carries a diesel spec. I like that as I think the detergency, TBN, etc is a little better.

Id use it in either of the engines without worry. How long do you intend to keep them anyway? Have you seen how well they do on M1 from UOAs?

Im going to keep my truck on syn, though Id put any oil into it, regardless of cost (for the most part), because UOAs in the 4.3 are always better with dino oils.

Well, I couldn't help myself. Today I installed Mobil 1 Extended Performance in my wife's Hyundai (10w-30) with a Wix 51334. I'm going to run this out to 7,500, which is what Hyundai recommends for the "normal" service.

I just couldn't resist those pretty gold stripes and the caps!

I would like to run my first UOA on this when it's time is up. I'll see.

Please do. I am running GC on a 7500 OCI and I am about to do my first UOA on it. Be interesting to see how the now mobil does.
Which Hyundai model and motor is it?
