Didn’t see a VOA or any UOA’s for this oil, so I sent a sample off to OAI. I think this would compete with the Castrol Edge Euro 5W-30.

My local stores don’t carry it. But, i ordered it from Walmart and they delivered it next day. Currently running it in my 2006 Accord and HRX mower.

@himemsys feel free to add this to your VOA database.

Added to the database.

The Calcium/Magnesium values indicate an SP oil. So maybe it's more than meeting or exceeding "SP Engine Test Requirements" and they just didn't want to pay the licensing fees?

Phosphorous & zinc both exceed the API SP USL of 800ppm. That’s why it specifies it meets the engine test part only.

I know P is 600-800 and this oil is barely over that. I did not realize Zinc also had a 600-800 requirement.
“Barely over” obviously doesn’t matter to us as the end user, but as the quality manager who trained me about customer specifications (in this case API is the customer) taught me about that “gray area”,

“It’s called a specification, not a recommendation, for a reason. If we’re not in spec, we’re paying the customer’s claim if they find our defective product. If we’re in spec, we tell them to fly a kite.”
