So I know I need to get the M1 10W-30 out of my LS-1, but just did it, too expensive to pour away. I'll wait 6K miles then,

M1 5W-40 Truck & SUV

OR

M Ext Perf. 10W-40

Car has 77K miles on it, live in Tampa for weather consideratios.

Shell Rotella T 5w-40. equal or better stats all around.

Go with the M1 5-40. It has a high level of detergency and esters. It is also the right weight for the LS engine family.
