M1 103A Oil Filter Cut Open

This one was run on my Rav4 Hybrid for 5000 miles along with M1 0W-16 AFE. Not much to say about it other than it's another well made filter.

Very clean, very nice. I would run that filter in your application for 2-4x that interval but not more than 2 years.

It has been discussed here many times that Highland Warren is involved with the new Mobil 1 filters, not Premium Guard. While they may be made at the same overseas factory, different companies are involved post-production.

The new Mobil 1 is not PGI ... It's under Highline Warren which has zero connection to PGI, they are competitors.

There has been a lot of confusion on who makes the new Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil filters. Many think it's made by Premium Guard Inc (PGI) because the construction looks the same as many PGI made filters. I sent a message to Highline Warren asking them if PGI is involved with the Mobil 1 oil filter, and this was their answer. Highline Warren and PGI are not connected to each other.

My question sent through the Highline Warren website "contact us".

Highline Warren's response. Only Highline Warren is involved with the manufacturing of the Mobil 1 oil filter. They...

K.B's.G. just opened ( 6/26 ) a used MOBIL 1 M1-102 and AC DELCO PF 64 . The M1-102 has the round holes for center tube .

I change oil before then but run the oil filter 20k. Usually 7500,siphon out, refill and go @martinq

I am finding that to be true with my Hybrid Maverick. Roughly 1/3rd of all vehicle miles is all electric.

I think the only caveat to it is that many engine on hybrid miles is not being at temp for extend length if driving many city miles and it would fall into severe service category.
