LUKOIL-Super SAE 5W-40, API SG/CD

Mineral and semisynthetic based multigrade all-season oils with the use of multifunctional imported packages of additives are designed for domestic and foreign highly augmented naturally aspirated automotive diesel engines and highly augmented gasoline engines of cars, trucks and minibuses.
*The oils provide for an easy start-up at low temperatures and prevent carbonization, when high-sulfur fuel is used.
*They possess high anticorrosive properties with respect to non-ferrous metals and neutralizing ability relative to acids, formed during engine use.
*High thermal oxidative stability and resistance to foaming warrant a long run between oil replacements under hard operating conditions.

They were tested by the "AVTOVAZ" JSC.
The oils were certified by Gosstandart of Russia.

Maybe it should be 5w-30/40 and you get to guess whether you got the 30 or the 40. What a viscosity range for the 100C.

SG? The API CD spec for diesels is a little, uh, old too.

If you examine the page that lists all the Lukoil oil lines, the highest API spec met is SJ. Not very promising. Makes me wonder about the gasoline, as I've seen a Lukoil station in Chesapeake.

No. It's the international English page. LukoilAmericas.com is the North American version, and oddly enough, clicking on the products link and then on "Lubricants" gets you a message that more info is coming soon. The URL for that page implies that Lukoil might intend to offer only lubricants for manual transmissions, as it has the letters "MT" in it.

On the international website a PDF catalogue in English is available. It runs over 100 pages, and I'll download it later when I get more time.

I've been using Luk gas, full aware of the Russian Mafia's scam of selling No.2 Heating Oil as Diesel. With the Luk gas card, regular is $.25c cheaper....$2.75. My woman is leary about sending out personal info to a Russian company. Anyway, no probs witht the gas. I see the finished and packaged oil products can be ordered by the 100 ton unit.

Why are you confused? Lukoil is the biggest private petro company in Russia. LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez, LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka, LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez are just the names of plants, located in Perm', Volgograd and Nizhny Novgorod.

One more thing:
Believe me, your personal information will not be sent directly to Putin, he just does not need it :-)
