Need a good set of replacement lug nuts for wifes' 2015 Toyota Avalon. The OEM ones have taken a beating with tire rotations. Tire shop tends to hammer on them and deform the cover.

Sad that they're a wear item like this. I got these from eBay and while they're not "better" the price was right and they reset the clock on their own demise.

There are complete sets on Amazon for really low prices. I've used no-name imports on a KL Cherokee and a '19 Ram Rebel without problems, but I fully admit you always wonder until they've proven themselves.

Reviews may be your friend here

If you plan on keeping the Toyota more than 3 years, McGard without a doubt.
Otherwise, cheapos from amazon will do the trick.

If this is the style with the 'sheet metal overlay', your best bet is to just get solidly made ones.
The sheet metal cap always turns into deformed garbage, no?
Seriously, all the ones I've ever seen perish.

Also, as a point of humor, there's a battle cry about McGard locking lug hardware on the Volvo fora....and that is to remove the McGards while you still can. Either they rust up or the key contours crumble away.
Again, these are bolts. McGard's lug nuts might be good in that REGARD <<get it, get it?

Even here in arid SW Colo I've seen McGards get light surface rust. Read reviews and this is a HUGE complaint.

Here, it's not a structural concern but rust sticks out like a sore thumb on chrome.

These White Knight lug nuts I got for the Sienna seem to hold up pretty well. $50 for the full set from NAPA. Can’t complain.

I will say in some ways the (inexpensive import) lugnuts for Toyota alloys are "safer" in that there's no taper about which to worry.

With countersinks if the angles don't match the lugs will likely not hold proper tension. And while I have not seen it, it would never surprise me to see the Chinese miss the angle by a couple degrees on a side, which would theoretically be a BIG deal.

Toyota alloy lug nuts do actually have a small taper, which interfaces with the steel spare tire.

If you've seen a repeatable measurable anomaly with a brand or COO, mention it, otherwise you're unnecessarily spreading FUD.
