Love this site and all the knowledge and humor.I don't think I have posted here for many years but I thought I would make a observation .Have a 1994 saturn sl2 automatic with 220,000 miles. Changed trans. fluid and spin on filter about 15,000 miles ago. Most of you know the saturn seems to develop a "reverse slam" after many miles. Mine never slammed but the delay going into reverse from park was getting longer also shifting from reverse to drive but not as long. I put one half bottle of the Lucus transmission slip/fix in it and it now does not have the delay. I believe it is in the normal shifting time of most automatic transmissions. This is the first Lucus product I have bought.Maybe other aftermarket product would do the same thing but again....just making observation.

Im glad its helped the symptoms, but isn't that stuff just really thick oil? In other words, its just temporarily hiding the issue?

I do not know what brand of transmission oil was installed. I use a mechanic I have gone to for years. I'm sure he put in a quality fluid but not a maxlife or one of the other HD fluids. The lucus could have done the seal swell or maybe cleaned a solinoid. The transmission fluid was at the full mark prior to the Lucus .Now it is a little over the full mark .Maybe that had something to do with the improvement. I know very little about auto. trans.I too am happy with the results. I do not plan on changing the trans oil for another 15 thousand miles...if the engine/transmission lasts that long. I will go with a maxlife or similar oil. Thanks for the feedback.
