None of my local auto parts stores carry Lucas Synthetic Motor Oil but I happened to see it when I went to a Dr.'s appt the other day at Pep Boys a few miles from the house. I had never seen the product before and it seemed quite pricey at 6.99 a quart. I figure people will see the Lucas name and shovel it in their baskets.

I tried to do a search on a UOA and VOA on the stuff but was unable to find it. Does anyone have any information on it? I'm not planning on running it, but I would like to be informed.

Thanks!

BTW, this was not the racing oil. I searched the web and haven't found this exact container that it was packaged in. I am guessing this might have been old stock as it still used the ugly bottle and labeling the oil stabilizer uses and not this type of bottle:

Lucas

At 6.99 this wasn't the semi-synth either.

Was a voa here at one time, it was poopoo'd for not showing big additive numbers. Search back a year or two.

You will find a few Lucas fans here....mostly for their UCL fuel treatment.

I have used a case or so of it on a few vehicles (5w-20.5W-30). They ran as quiet and smooth with mpg numbers the same as M1 and other major synthetics.

I like to try different oils, and the extra few dollars a qt won't break anyone.

If you are curious try it out. If you are looking for what many feel are better values, then you might want to look elsewhere.

IMO your car will fun perfectly fine on it.

BTW when it first came out they used black labeled round bottles. Then black label "regular" bottles. Now they use red labeled bottles
