lubro moly LM 2019 safe for my Audi?

I have an '04 Audi A4 3.0 V6 Quattro 6MT that has what I'm coming to find out is a not-uncommon problem with an embarassingly noisy first gear. There are differing opinions on the exact cause but agreement that that noise is more annoying than something that needs an immediate repair.

There have been some reports of people having success using "Lubro Moly MoS2 Anti Friction for Geard" (part #LM2019) to quiet the noise but there are also conflicting opinions on various Audi/VW forums with regard to whether the additive is safe to use my transmission. Some posts suggest it would be non-compatible with the bronze synchros because of sulphur in the additive but I don't know if I have bronze synchros let alone if this additive would be bad for them.

Can anyone offer an informed opinion on whether or not it's safe for me to use?

Were it me, I would look on the Amsoil website (I did) and use this

Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (75W-90) API GL-4 (MTGQT)

That moly would be great for gears and bearings - wear and noise in general.

BUT!!! It can and will make your synchros NOT grab well. Shifting may be worse or much worse. It depends on how aggressive your synchro facings are.

I would not use it in a trans, even though I am a fan of Lubro Moly in the crankcase.
Switch to a premium transmission fluid from Amsoil, Redline, or the Ford 75-90 wonder sauce [my favorite - insanely good].
Think it is too thick? Naw.. you want a bit thicker for noise attenuation. Parts will wear slower, too.

This is what the OEM-LuberMoly say's....and with that being said, are your axle drives self locking? OEM say's nothing about metal compatability?

vehicle transmissions and for axle drives without self-locking differential.

Intended use
Add MoS2-Antifriction for Gears to the gear oil − mixing takes place automatically during operation. The product is suitable for both mineral- and synthetic-based gear oils. One tube is sufficient for up to 2 litres of gear oil.
