Went to Lowes yesterday to buy a refrigerator and found that they had stopped honoring Vet discounts on higher priced items. Said they did this March '22.
Yes they did...I did receive a email back in Feb 22 about that.....Went to Lowes yesterday to buy a refrigerator and found that they had stopped honoring Vet discounts on higher priced items. Said they did this March '22.
I agree but as a Veteran I dont expect a discount at all or free food....If they offer it I might use it ..If they dont no big deal...Just proud to be a 12 year USAF Veteran...Sad, appliances, lumber I believe, and even certain light bulbs are not discounted. My son was there last week for LED bulbs and they were excluded from the discount. Not good business in my book.
Thank you for your service Sir.I agree but as a Veteran I dont expect a discount at all or free food....If they offer it I might use it ..If they dont no big deal...Just proud to be a 12 year USAF Veteran...
Thanks for your service. I agree, and after over 16 years in the USN my son feels the same way. I just thought light bulbs were petty. Appliances and lumber I can understand.I agree but as a Veteran I dont expect a discount at all or free food....If they offer it I might use it ..If they dont no big deal...Just proud to be a 12 year USAF Veteran...
In about a month AAFES will offer appliances through Home Depot....They will be tax free also...Any vet can register online and will be able to order online from AAFES..... Good to know, thanks! In about a month AAFES will offer appliances through Home Depot....They will be tax free also...Any vet can register online and will be able to order online from AAFES..... Army Air Force Exchange Service...
Honestly, that's a commendable position, not just in this specific thread, but in general. Many times in life, we do things for the greater good, especially if it is also aligned with our own beliefs. That's winning!I agree but as a Veteran I dont expect a discount at all or free food....If they offer it I might use it ..If they dont no big deal...Just proud to be a 12 year USAF Veteran...
I think now more than ever, everyone needs to check what discounts they may qualify for. I've worked for my co 12 years and had what I considered to be bogus, where I can login and order Whirlpool appliances at a discount. I watched the YouTube where the guy dresses up in a Maytag hat and he recommended that Maytag Commercial residential. Even though I'm not in the market, I decided to login to the portal and was surprised, my price was about $250 less than the big box stores, so I guess it's not bogus as I had thought...we all know there are so many prices for everything, no one pays the same. For example, corporate pricing on iPhones is roughly 50% what retail is, every day (with a contract, 1 yr. not 2 like or now 3 for consumers). In about a month AAFES will offer appliances through Home Depot....They will be tax free also...Any vet can register online and will be able to order online from AAFES..... yup that is AFFES and the Home Depot merger will be on this site in about a month...https://www.shopmyexchange.com/?_requestid=2146871
Don't forget to check here for big ticket items too. Free delivery, no taxes.
If they offer it, USE it. You deserve it....I agree but as a Veteran I dont expect a discount at all or free food....If they offer it I might use it ..If they dont no big deal...Just proud to be a 12 year USAF Veteran...
Care to explain.Personally I think Lowes won’t exist in less than 5 years. The layout of the stores alone demonstrates that they no longer know the reason for their existence.
The only reason I served was for 10% off!
