Sam's Club has both the Halloween and Christmas decorations up simultaneously.
Our Walmart already has Christmas decorations in place of some of the lawn & garden stuffI have a friend who is a department Manager at Home Despot. His working life revolves around the season and event timing. Yes, you need Halloween stuff up Oct. 1. Also think about all the supply chain issues. All the Christmas stuff is made and the factories are now working on Easter stuff.
corporate response.. MUST.. MAKE... MONEY.. NOW!! I think that sums it up for their behavior. (disclaimer: I know corporations usually are in business to make profits, but being THIS early is a bit much, just shows their desperation)
ExactlyIt annoys me too when I walk into a store in September and see the Christmas displays up. But truthfully, it isn't just Christmas merchandise that is premature. One February I was sent to a job in Mississippi for two days and it turned into a month. The weather turned bitter cold and the jacket that I had wasn't enough so I went shopping for a heavy coat. I couldn't find the coat, but I could have purchased a bathing suit.
yeah I was reading that Home Depot, Costco and Walmart were renting out their own cargo ships, no not just the containers, entire ships! Just to make sure stock was happening, even for the holidays.. wow..I wonder how bad Christmas will be with all those cargo ships delayed unloading all their cargo ?
I guess the costs versus benefits for them to make sure they have stock on hand is worth it. They have enough stores to do this.yeah I was reading that Home Depot, Costco and Walmart were renting out their own cargo ships, no not just the containers, entire ships!
