In the last 30k, I've used M1HM 10w30 & 5w30, Rotella T6, and in right now is Valvoline FS w/ MaxLife in 5w30.
All have done fine, very, very little use. The 10w MIGHT have decreased pep just slightly.
They are all 30wts at operating temp. It didn't "reduce pep" at all. It really couldn't have.
OP, for your climate I'd run whatever the cheapest name brand 10w30 you can find and a Motorcraft filter. The truck likely wont care much what you put in it. It looks great by the way. Save your money for more car washes.
