Low discharge NIMH batteries

I was padding an amazon.com order to reach free shipping, and their NiMH prices are decent. They have eneloops and these generic ones I got 10 for $19...

Sony repackages them, as does duracell.

I recommend a good charger that can do individual cells instead of pairs.

Good choice! Too bad you cannot seem to get that chemistry in 9V.

Costco sells an 8 pack of AA and 2 AAA for like $18? I think of the Duracell branded Sanyo batteries. I literally have 600+ of them behind me which I've been testing individually, so far I've only found one "bad" one that holds less than 1900mah charge!

I bought a Costco Sanyo pack with charger/batteries about a year ago. I just wanted to get more batteries for a good price. I know Amazon has decent prices. I have two chargers already, I just want batteries.

Anybody else that can compete with Amazon?

Amazon.com sells the "BC-900" charger for $29.99. (free shipping) You can get a cheaper charger, but I don't think you can get a nicer one. All kinds of fancy features and it measures the exact mAh capacity of each battery!

I would say a good deal on these is less than $2/battery. I think the Durcell branded Sanyo batteries are the most common, but be careful - there are two versions - one with a black top made in China, one with a white top made in Japan. (same label, different battery) The one from Japan is an Eneloop. The one from China is...?

the same as the rayovac "hybrid" and 4.0.
decent but the eneloop/duraloop/sonyloop are the best.the clues are a white + terminal cover and made in japan.
and the best aa and aaa charger is the maha/powerex c9000.

I just bought ten packs on Sunday with the $5 off coupon. Got it down to $1.34ish per cell.

These are in fact rebranded Sanyo Eneloop clones.

You can find lot more about them on candle power forums
But don't get addicted there; it is worse than BITOG as far as addiction goes :-)
