My Dad couldn't read a tape measure... Duck tape was his answer for everything. Anything duck taped should be preceded with caution. 😅

I worked in a factory during the summer when I was in college. I was a helper assigned to a workman in the pipe and welding shop. It was very educational learning about working and doing stuff and learning about people. One guy that I was assigned to had been working in the shop for decades. One of the best pipe-fitters in the factory. He didn't know how to read a tape measure. He kept his thumbnail on the mark. Kind of comical walking 5 minutes from the factory floor back to the pipe shop to cut and thread the pipe with his thumbnail on the tape measure and the tape measure trailing behind him and me, holding the end of the tape. All his pipes fit together perfectly.

Great story! Sounds like he was an "Advanced" member of your team. ;)
