Only if you are painting a chassis.

What you need is fender paint.
It comes with metal to paint attractants, that helps the paint adhere to the metal of fenders better than either chassis or roof paint does.

That way, one spray pass with fender paint puts down a thicker coat of paint than chassis paint, which means you get more protection from less coats, which sames you money in the long term.

I heard from a nissan dealer about electro rust proofing, and this other mechanic in a small town about 20 miles out from me says he can use electro rust proofing as well, where they hook something to a battery and then it won't corrode since they wont' let the surface oxidize
whereas conventional rust proofing involves using oil and someone oils or uses undercoating underneath and between door juambs and under the hood
which one works better? the gy at nisssan said electro was better since it works at a chemical level, but is that really true, or is oil rust proofing, the old fashinoed kind better? Thanks. considering having this taurus rust proofed, which I regret I didn't do earlier

ace hardware is ahving a ratchet/socket set sale, a smaall set with some sockets for 1/4 drive up to 14mm, and 3/8 only up to 18mm (most go to 19) so it's a limited socket set but includes a craftsman ratchet for 11.99 at ace, and normally it's 21.99, is this a good deal? the craftsman ratchet is much better than husky ratchets which is what i've been using, right? i'm thinking about new ratchets, and I need regular 3/8 drive sockests as I only have a 3/8 deep socket set, 11.99 for a small socket set (more limited than a regular socket set) and a craftsman ratchet isn't bad , right? the ratchet looked thina nd was funny looking and was pearhead, that ace hardware craftsman ratchet is still pretty good, right? Thanks.

100 times NO

If you already have a 3/8" ratchet and some sockets, don't worry about buying more because it is "better". Just buy one socket at a time as you need them.

I wouldn't use 3/8" for 19mm or larger. I've snap a ratchet trying to open a 19mm before, you should really go with 1/2" if you work on something that big.

how hard is it to change a motor mount? heard the lower torque strut mount was weak, bought an anchor, was told that's not good, so i'll return it and buy an oem motorcraft, but where is this mount located, it seems like it's not that hard to DIY, or IS it?

I see oreilly's sells gates serp belt(s) ther are 2, for 16 and 18, and the serp belt from the dealership is in the 30 dolalr range for both (there's a main belt) as well as this ps belt, that's amall and only runs along 2 pulleys. Is it hard to change and should I use the gates? Advance auto uses carquest which is made by dayco and autozone also uses dayco, what about napa? I heard dayco wasn't that good but gates was good, but how about motorcraft oem? i also heard motorcraft replacement belts are made by gates, so the cheaper oreilly gates belt should work just fine and gates or motorcraft for the tensioner?

i will change the spark plugs soon, heard the back was a pain, you ahve to replace the intake manifold gasket, i'll use oem for that and motorcraft, not autolite spark plugs, since I want them to last and it's a hard procedure on the 3.5 l ford v6. Also, what about the water pump? i haerd the water pump on this car was driven by the timing chain, so if you hadf it done at a shop, it's be like 1000 dollars and you might as well change the chain with it (use an oem one, right? or gates?) but is it a DIYable job, like with the camry and serp belt, or no because of the stupid design where it's internal? in this case, change the coolant often, with motorcraft gold, oem to make the water pump last as long as possible, or does coolant not mater, and nothing can prevent the water pump from going? and what's some good water pump maintenance to ensure it can last the longest, so i don't have to do that job until 200k, hopefully? Thanks.

Don't worry. It is all a hoax to make us look like fools.
