I will admit I play Powerball and mega millions when it gets real high $$$ value. Other day I won $2,200 on a $1 scratch off bought at gas station. Anyone here play lottery?

I became tired of winning.
I do. For a $10 Powerball ticket I get a fantasy dream that helps me fall asleep for five or six days. Better than melatonin. Worth the money.
I buy Win for Life scratch offs every once in a while, but that's about it. A lifetime of comfort is the extent of my dreams.
I spend about $10/year on powerball or megamillions.
I have bought a few large jackpot tickets in the past. Probably no more than $30 in my entire life. Never even considered a scratch off.
We have an employee that won a $1000.00 a week for life scratch off. He's at $41 an hour on top of getting a grand a week.

I used to play keno. Did reasonably well. Broke even at least. As far as the lotto and casinos....never won a dime.

Yeah, thanks to PA taxes I still made out okI do a few times a month. Good that you won some $$$.
Serious question:
What would you do if you won $500,000 after taxes if you bought a $20 ticket ?
Probably have a heart attach and end up having to give it all to the hospital! It's why I don't play any of them.
I have never bought a lottery ticket in my life.

I play they PowerBall and Mega when they get big, but Powerball's now a 3 times a week cash grab which kind of turned me off. I'd buy the Hoosier lotto more often but they're now $2 for a much smaller jackpot with a much greater odds of winning but still the chance is essentially a non-zero number that by all reasonable rounding precision is zero. When the CA$H5 gets up close to a mil I'll buy it sometimes. I don't mess with scratch offs, they're just a great way to blow money fast.

I play occasionally on the scratch off tickets. The most I’ve won on one is $50 so not too bad. Just a few times a month nothing major.
