I think the biggest 6/49 jackpot I've seen was $28 million. I could be wrong though. I don't really pay attention.

The biggest Canadian jackpot was $54 million actually, and it was won by a single ticket, but it was shared by about 16 workers at a company in Alberta. I believe the single biggest jackpot won by a single person was around $30 million.

There are two big lotteries in Canada, Lotto 649 and Super 7. Then there is the smaller Lottario one I mentioned. The 649 jackpot starts at $4 million and if it isn't won, then the following draw it goes up to $9 million. It's usually won at that point, but occasionally it climbs up a lot higher (like the $54 million) The Super 7 only starts at $2.5 mil but it's harder to win so it's jackpot usually gets up over $10 million. Last night it was $20 million, and nobody won it, so next Friday it will be $25 million. Nobody won the $4 million 649 draw on Wednesday, so tonight's jackpot is $9 million. The other one I play is Lottario, it's jackpot is $410,000 tonight. If someone wins it, it'll go back to $250,000 for next week. If nobody wins it usually only goes up by $50 or $60k for the next week.

Won the California Lottery back in the 80s.

Didn't really change me much, nor my lifestyle.

Of course, 20 bucks didn't even go all that far back then though a bloke during the Great Depression would likely have seen a 20-spot as pert near manna from Heaven.

My wife and I bought a scratch lotto card during a refueling stop during a 2000 mile road trip. We won 200 dollars on the ticket. Departing the truck stop on the onramp, an 18-wheeler kicked up a stone which cracked our windshield. The windshield replacement was a little over $300.

Speaking of lottos, there was a teenager driving an Enzo up and down my neighborhood this morning, he won the best lotto...being born into a wealthy family.

Believe me... even the wealthy play the lotto. Couple of lotto winners were already millionaires!! Like that one celebrities mother and some dude in West Virginia.

I used to work for a Jewish company in New York City and New Jersey. The owner who is already a multi millionaire told me to buy him $40 worth New York state lottery and Mega Millions. I also delivered packages to a family who had a HUGE HUGE mansion. What did I see on his kitchen table? Lotto tickets.
