I knew she was one of my father's favorites but sort of fell off my radar as I was no fan of Clark Gable...
Can't stand the guy...
She played along side him in many movies and they had a daughter together.

I have been watching some of her movies and she was a great actress.
So I'm adding her to my top tier list

I prefer the late 20s to mid 50s movies. If it has William Powell in its got to be good... The end of the 50s brought us the stupid bikini movie scene... not my cup of tea.

After refueling in Las Vegas, TWA Flight 3 took off at 7:07 p.m. and crashed into Double Up Peak near the 8,300-foot (2,530 m) level of Potosi Mountain, 32 statute miles (51 km) southwest of the Las Vegas airport. All 22 aboard, including Lombard, her mother, Winkler and 15 U.S. Army soldiers, were killed instantly.

Audrey Hepburn had that very rare special aura of grace about her that is mesmerizing to both men and women. Jackie O had it….so did Princess Diana. Not common even in beautiful women.
