Looks like I'm switching to Valvoline.

Current fill: Castrol GTX 5w30, ARX rinse phase.
Next fill: Pennzoil 5w30 conventional with ARX maintenance dose.

After that I might be switching to Valvoline Synpower. Why? Well, if it still exists when Im due for that change, it's because Valvoline is now sponsoring a Petty Enterprises car [or at least what is left of it after the recent FUBAR, and no Kyle *sigh*]

Was planning on switching the auto transmission fluid to Synpower anyways...perhaps now the oil too.

Good a reason as any for brand loyalty I guess

You can get five QTs of it and a Fram "Tough Guard" (gray) filter for about $25 at Advance AP...

Get what you think is the best value for you. Whether it be Castrol, Mobil, Royal Purple, PP, or Valvoline, or whatever, the oil you use should be something that you are happy with and what your car has been spec'd for related to the manufacturer. Example 5W-20, 5w30, 10w30...ILSAC GF-3,4, etc.....etc...
