that calculates number of drain and refills needed to reach a certain percentage of new fluid. Can't find it in my favorites.

May help with the discussion below too.

Thanks in advance

I cannot find that calculator either, and I, like you, remember seeing it one time.

FWIW, on my vehicles, I do a drain and refill x3 and I feel comfortable doing that, although I know it is not 100%. It is still close enough for me. Any more than that, and I think doing this is a big waste of fluid and you might as well go hook up to a T-tec at that point.

Lastly, when I owned a 2006 Saturn VUE, the Honda and Saturn dealer (tranny on these is a Honda AT and is not recommended to be flushed as Honda thinks it could cause problems), they told me that the standard procedure is to do a 3x drain and fill and it would get you to what they consider a full ATF fluid change. BOTH dealers told me this and if I didn't do this myself, would've charged well over a 100 bucks which is crazy.

Hopefully someone who has this will open up the topic and let us know. I have used it in the past for several things. Now changing out my power steering with the new Amsoil stuff. Get 8 ounces out at a time and the unit holds 37 from what I gather.

I own a 2005 Accord 6EX and a 1999 Accura CL 3.0.

Thanks for replying...the formula is good for many applications. I just needed it now for my power steering and I knew it would be of interest to the posters in the tread below.

Have you ever owned an aquarium? no matter how many partial changes there always is dirty water left over, do a flush.

Thanks Steve....just looking for the formula for my information.

You have been around awhile...you should have this somewhere.
