looking for hydraulic filter exchange

Ok,
picking up from my previous thread, i have gotten confirmation from NAPA, WIX, Baldwin, and Fram that Kubota 38430-37714 does not have an existing interchange.

So, let us do it the hard way.
Thread: 3/4 inch, coarse
O-ring, seal: ID 2.00 inch, OD 2.50 inch
can: OD: 3.25 inch, height 5 inch (can be larger/smaller)

I have been to the "hidden" sites for the above manufacturers, but they do not have on-line by dimensions.

63Avanti that's a tough one. Hastings has a cross for a Kubota 38930-37714 but I sure couldn't find the 430. Any way the cross for the 930 is an LF339 which still doesn't give the gsket specs but looks like this http://catalog.hastingsfilters.com/
Does that even resemble your filter? I found that in their Farm filter book.

Champ private labels, or did, Kubota oil filters.

Try calling them..1-800-882-0890.

Now there is a possibility that they only offer it in the Kubota brand and it has not been added to any aftermarket private brands.

already DID all this, please read the original posting. Can someone look up the dimensional specs for the hydraulic filters, no available on-line,and let me know if there are any that fit the thread, seal dimensions??

At first I thought that it was a very unusual gasket size for a filter of that size. Most of your 3/4-16 thread stuff falls into your FL1A type can (+/-) and typically has the like sized gasket (2.8x OD/2.4x ID).

I went to Donaldson and looked at the few designated "hydraulic spin-on" in the 3/4-16 thread and none had a gasket of this size. Oddly enough, my Wix 51410 is a hydraulic filter ..but Donalson xref's it to a general lube spin-on

That gasket is closer to a Toyota oil filter.

D - Gasket OD (Inches): 2.46

First, thanks for doing the spec lookup, you are great! I confess at being exasperated at those who gave advice to do what I clearly stated already did not work!

The filter that came with the tractor looked suspiciously like a light japanese oil filter, smallish, and without a label. I could believe that it was a Toy filter. The Kubota filter is significantly larger, and heavier.

For the WIX/NAPA/Hastings/Baldwin guys, what is the nearest filter? As indicated before, I have looked at the web sites, and they do not give the depth of info I need. Thanks!
