I need to find out where I can get a tool to adjust the air mixture on a weedeater featherlite. The adjustors are there, but they require a special tool. Any idea where I can put my hands on one?

If you find one let us know i got the same one and it's got a #@$%! lean bogg to it but i can't adjust the #@$%! thing to make it run better.

Those tools are hard to come by, I make my own, all you need is a few inches of 1/4 inche wooden dowel rod, center drill it with a 9/64 inch drill bit and gently tap in on the adjustment screw, then you can make your adjustment.

Way too cool! I've been recommending these machines for a couple years because I've had so much luck with them. Dependable, easy to work on, cheap to replace. But now, with the EPA looking over their shoulder, I may have to reconsider and recommend the higher-end Echos, etc. What a world!

yeehaw, I have to feather lite also, been a good chine, but it needed a 1/4 turn adjustment to make it right. Runs great now. that dowel rod can also be used to adjust the screw with the half moon looking screws. also I sometimes take a coping saw and make a slot for a screwdriver in the end of the dowel, (when my fingers don't work to good).

I just bought a Bolens 31cc string trimmer after YEARS AND YEARS of faithful service from my Weed Eater brand trimmers. I was going to get a Featherlite, but the Bolens looked sturdier and had a much larger engine.

I didn't run well at all right out of the box, but it did seem to break in after a while. Now, after about 5 uses, it starts good and runs great. If your Featherlite is brand new, try and wait until after a few uses to see if it smooths out.

Thats what i thought but after 3 seasons of use it still
has a slite lean bog, just need to adjust it..

Well, well, well...that battery-operated dremmel came in really handy. You use a small cut-off tool and put a slot in both of them at once while cutting slightly into the walls they put around them. ANYTHING to make you take it in and get raped by a dealer/authorized service provider.
