Looking at the 2014 Dodge Journey

Thanks for your thoughts and reviews. I think I will make an appointment to look at it a little more closely. I do tow a pop-up camper, but only my Windstar is set up for towing and I wouldn't trade it as the Journey is only rated at 2500#. Not enough for my 2000# camper considering GVWR.

Does the Journey offer a 6 cyl? I'd look at a 6 cyl Escape or Equinox/Terrain as well, they can tow 3500 lbs.

No more V6 Escape, but the 2.0L Turbo I4 Escape can pull 3500 pounds. I think the engine would be great for towing. Torque available almost right off idle!

Drove it today, liked it, bought it.

The Pentastar V6 is one powerful engine and the 6 spd transmission was nearly seamless in it shifts. Also, VERY quiet inside.
