Looking at a 2015 Tahoe LT

I love the Tahoe / Yukon / Suburban platforms. They are so solid and beefy. Sure it may ride more like a truck than other SUVs but it IS a truck. If your willing to spend the $$$ and the gas $$$ its a great vehicle.

Depreciation is pretty harsh on them. I almost bought a very clean 2005 Yukon for only $4,000; compare to a used 2015 at $40,000. 10% the cost and only 140k miles on the 05 made sense. Everyone wants the new body style and its higher MPG.

Pulled the trigger on a 2017 Durango GT this morning. Scored a solid deal and my wife (as usual) changed her preferred color at the last possible minute. This is a very impressive car for the money (that still isn't cheap).

Time will tell regarding chrysler reliability but my several hours old impression is great.

For [censored] and giggles while they were getting the paperwork done, I test drove an R/T. Man, that is one smooth and torquey V8. I was in love with that thing.

After two and a half years and 61k miles, our Durango has been fantastic. The pentastar provides just enough power and the ZF 8spd has been a great transmission. I think you'll be happy with your decision.

Great choice on the GT!! IIRC, it replaced the Limited trim for the 2017 MY. I also love the monochromatic trim, as that used to only be available on the R/T I believe. Yes, the 5.7L motivates it with authority, but it sounds like you were of similar mind to ourselves that the V6 was the more practical choice

We are extremely impressed with ours so far.

Make sure you check the UConnect site to ensure you have the latest version of the software for the head unit. There was an upgrade for ours.

Thanks, will do. Haven't messed with the uconnect stuff with the exception of learning how to plug my tablet into the HDMI port.

Thanks! My wife loved it. Its Bomber Brown (might actually be Bomber Brown Pearlcoat, can't remember).

When the sun hits the metallic flake in it, it looks exceptionally nice.

Congrats on Durango!!

A friend has one [with the V8] and loves it. I drove it but it is definitely not for me. Broward Sheriff had a lot of Durangos at one time and liked them. They were not happy about going to the Explorer and losing the Durangos and Tahoes.

I was thinking about the Expedition but that has not had a major restyling in about 30 years or more plus I do not want a Turbo engine plus the Tahoe to me was much more comfortable. I am on a long trip right now and never had a more comfortable vehicle as the Tahoe.
