So what's the API spec? I used a fair amount Castrol White Bottle in the past, mostly before joining bitog. That and Havoline. Still have one bottle with the bottom cut off. They actually make a decent funnel for engine oil fill hole.

that was all the deere 316 got for 15 years in 20w50.
now it gets random clearance 20w50 or diesel 15w40
