I alway use techron every time I fill up before trip, and another bottle when fill up to go back home . Im looking for something that for lubricate all the fuel system..fuel pump.. Any preference.

Redline si-1 is great but the bottle does not make dosing easy. Marvel mystery oil would be my second reccomendation. You can find Lucas UCL on sale alot, and its one of the few Lucas products that are accepted by the bitog members.

Any of these upper cylinder lubes will do what you are asking. Some would recommend twc-3 2 stroke oil, which I havent tried myself.

Orrielly auto parts carries it. I thought carquest did as well. Amazon has good deals as well if you can wait a few days.

I would get MMO if your looking for something easily available. Ive had good experiences with it.

+1 Throw pint in for the first leg and a pint the first leg going home. Will do a good job for both.

When you asked about an additive to lubracate the fuel pump and fuel system, I think of TCW3 ot ashless two cycle oil at a ratio of ~ 1.0 OZ per 5 gallon.

Slightly OT: Do you think Techron, Regane, SL1 etc...work better on a long trip or when a lot of short trips enable the additive to sit on the valves for awhile?

Why?

Personally I want to use a cleaner add when Im doing stop and go around town and similar, becasue I want the additives to sit in the injectors and in the various points in the system.

Highway driving, IMO is more amenable to keeping self-clean and does not allow the adds to soak hard deposits as much.

I choose adds based upon two things - ambient conditions and use for the tank.

If Im doing longer cruising, and/or it is hot out, Ill use an add that is slightly less volatile and gives a bit more lubricity. If its more cold weather and stop and go, Im more interested in the volitilization of adds, so I want lower viscosity, more volatile adds.

Extra Fuel additives are typically not required. I use Isopropyl alc when i get water - which seems to be amost every other fillup lately! Dont put top oil in a FI lambda gasoline engine gas tank - unless you want sludge on your pickup and a bad injector atomisation.

Yes its 10 bucks, not much more than techron 15 gal treatment or gumout all in one. Get it a some point when you gonna be doing alot of city driving, your car will be singing for joy. It has upper cylinder lubricants.... Its essentially MMO + techron 15 gallon treatment. Cant even mix the 2 for 10 bucks or less

Don't OD MMO. Back when we were first talking MMO on here, we did a lot of experimenting, and big mpg losses were seen.
