Wonder if too much efficiency really isnt the best thing... think Dell, Toyota, Wal-Mart.
In fact, I wonder if Wal-Mart pressures have been the cause of much of Dell's demise.
I have to say, my 2000 precision workstation didnt last past 2004 due to bad PS and MB (so the leaky capacitor issue is a valid one to me). My wife's dell latitude has a screen that doesnt always work, and my work dell that Im typing on right now shocks me if I touch two materials on it at once (plus it has had a failed HD, PCMCIA slot and freezes all the time).
Bummer for Dell, but my experiences validate their widespread issues...
