Stopped by the local Autozone and the following were on the shelf all at $2.99 (regular price for all grades): Superflo, Peak, Kendall GT-1 Syn Blend, Mobil Clean 5000, and Motorcraft Syn Blend. For a typical year-round dino, 4-5K mile OCI mixed driving, which would you choose as you top 3?

My top 3 are: Superflo, Motorcraft, Mobil Clean 5000.

Just based on the reputation here at BITOG and of the oils that you listed:

1)Motorcraft Syn Blend/Kendall GT-1(same oil)
2)Mobil Clean 5000
3)Exxon Superflo
4)Peak(nobody seems to know yet!)

Is this true, if so now is the time to stock up.

That would be me. For all those non believers. I bring proof

Did you actually find some in the store? They never have those if it says "low stock" in my experience.

Both of my local AAP's show 'low stock' but when you get there there are none. I have found this several times before.

That's exactly how I'd do it!

If Superflo is consistently at the bottom of the list, why does it cost more than Mobil Clean 5k in most stores? You can't blame it on advertising.

The product data sheets of both Superflo and M5k are essentially the same except for VI, but if you compare the MSDS' for 5w-30, there are more differences in favor of Superflo-

It was .95 cents for the gallon, 5 quarts. I am one of the many who read "low stock" on the website and missed out. Oh well, not a totally wasted trip, the beater still needed an oil change.

Imperial?

The 4 quart gallons at my AA were $4.95 for a week before dropping to $.95. Not one to hedge my bets I dragged home a significant supply at the former price. Was considering returning and rebuying... with the risk that the counter help could have gone "yoink" in the interim moments.
