Liqui Moly MoS2 Leichtlauf 10W-40

But like my old BMW, current approvals are back specified to older models.

Yes, I know. I have used 229.5 and 229.3 oils since owning the car, but last time tried this oil to see if it would make the the engine "smoother". Although it does not have any manufacturer approvals, it's still got to be miles better than what came as a factory fill, so it's not "unsafe" - that's my thinking.

Today I filled the engine with their 20W50 MoS2 mineral variant. Out of curiosity what my "butt Dyno" will/will not perceive.

How did your M119 react to the LM 20W-50 MoS2 mineral? I've been using LM 5W-40 Leichtlauf High Tech in my '99 W140 S500. No valve ticking noise at idle but there's a valve
ticking noise while driving. I need to switch to something else. I used LM 10W-40 MoS2 in my '97 Isuzu Trooper because Quaker State discontinued their 10W-40 mineral oil that I've been using for 25 years. It's creating a ticking noise in the bottom of the engine. The valve train is super quiet. Go figure.
