My bottle (I presume is April 2023) of which this sample is from:
Code:
Specifications and approvals:
ACEA A3/B4; API SL;
BMW Longlife-01; MB-Approval 229.5; VW 502 00/505 00.

LIQUI MOLY also recommends this product for vehicles or assemblies for which the
following specifications or original spare part numbers are required:
Opel GM-LL-A-025/-B-025.

The website's bottle as of October 2025 says:
Code:
Specifications and approvals:
ACEA A3/B4; API SL;
MB-Approval 229.5; VW 502 00/505 00.

LIQUI MOLY also recommends this product for vehicles or assemblies for which the

BMW Longlife-01; Opel GM-LL-A-025/-B-025.

BMW LL-01 was moved to the bottom section.
Just pointing out that we have to be vigilant and read the bottles, PDS, websites, etc.
Formulations can change, or perhaps worse, the information was incorrect to begin with.

LSPI not apply here.. :LOL:
That is quite an older add pack (API SL). Seems to be to the max. Thanks for testing this oil. I'm sure @TiGeo will get some now. :D

What vehicle is this used in? One of Liqui Moly's websites show Special Tec LL 5W-30 is: "Especially suitable for Opel vehicles up to model year 2010".
I used this in a BMW M2 Comp, S55 engine. I might do a used oil analysis of this.
If you want Liqui Moly and BMW LL-01*, it's either this Special Tec LL 5w-30 or Leichtlauf High Tech SAE 5W-40.
*LL-01: They have other LL-01's that say "up to 2018". The two oils I listed are LL-01 without any limitations. IIRC BMW updated LL-01 in 2018.

In any case, I'm switching to a different oil for my next service.

I would recommend Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5w40. Motul Xcess Gen2 if you’re using FCP.

Thanks for sampling and posting! I added it to the VOA Database.

Calcium is 3705?

For an oil with Moly in its name, I'd expect more. Just saying.

Liqui-Moly has oils with the MoS2 additive in there. No need to buy the MoS2 additive separately
