Liqui Moly Engine Detox

Used it today with fresh oil fill and fresh ocod. Fill was 2.75 qt 15w40 Delvac and 2.25 qt 5w-20 Valvoline, which is almost clear looking oil. Flush smelled like kerosene and something else.
After 10 min of idle, oil was caming out pretty clean, golden colored, darker, maybe due Delvac. When I was pouring it in used jug, to recycle it later it looked much darker, grayish black, but might get this color from previous drain. I didn't wipe pan. So it is ether my engine is pretty much clean or product didn't work at least visibly to me,or it liquefied goo very good and it wasn't visible while it was draining, but than visible in pan and jug.
I believe engine did sound different, I think less tick sound I had before. Not sure is it due oil? I think there was no changes due oil before. Video started 2 min after I fired engine.

I used Plenty of different cleaners like Shell V-power, Regane and similar, then about 1 qt of MMO, and 2 fills before MMO/TCW3 mix. Last tank average 29.7 mpg. Current average 26.5 with more city driving and it is only 1/3 down, so plenty of gas to go.
P.S since I got car, not all together

So, I gather you have about 8 ounces(1/4 of a Quart?) of Kreen mixed with the Ceratec?

What is the Ceratec marketed for? Anything specific?

It is like super duper MoS2 that works for 50000km
As I know it is add pack with moly, zinc, boron and who knows what else, some magic ceramic additives "to thread and smooth harsh metal surfaces" (worn, scoped, scratched parts)." makes a barrier between friction parts"

^I finally found the page on Liqui Moly's website.

Interesting. Sorta like how ceramic brakes have certain characteristics compared to metallic. I just have to wonder if the use of Kreen and Ceratec is worth it because you want to attack the metal parts with Kreen for more cleaning, but this product(Ceratec) is going to be fighting for the surface, too?

I have wondered, OTOH, that perhaps using a product that is designed to have "plating-like" effects...would it somehow perform a sort of dispersant? Maybe the Kreen will be able to vaporize it somehow if it somehow got more gunk/smudge loose from elsewhere.

Who knows, If tribology guys chime in, it will be nice. In my Understanding Kreen attacks organic material, ceratec plates non organic materials(metals).
Kreen will vapor out soon anyway, hopefully keeping PCV system clean on the way out.

If you're looking to use Ceratec [for "plating like effects"], and plan on using Kreen, use the Kreen then run an interval with only oil, no additives. Then at the next OCI add the Ceratec. The first two OCI's can be shorter to speed things up if you'd like. JMO

I have a can of the Ceratec on the shelf as well.

I got spooked about adding it though, since some on here have noticed that it left strange looking deposits on their spark plugs, and I just went through the 5 hour, back-breaking, arm cramping, hand gouging, ordeal to change my plugs earlier this year.

Maybe this stuff can be used to clean out the MoS2 that settles in areas of slower oil flow. That might explain the OP's grey color after use.

It appears the Detox contains (from most to least):

1. Carrier of Naphthenic solvent (most likely Stoddard solvent)

2. Calcium detergent

3. Some ZDDP AW/FM/anti-oxidant

4. Surfactant to thin and float-out hydrocarbons

BAsically a thin, fast flush to be used only before an oil change, and NOT to be used as a co-additive.

Molakule, Flush was used before, with separate fresh fill and filter. I drained it, put new oil and filter, added Ceratec and Kreen. People worry, that those 2 guys will fight each other.

Checked Russian Version of Liqui Moly site, and it says do not use engine flushes for period of product activity. I guess it will wash it out. Well, Kreen is not flush, it will evaporate, but I guess it was not great idea.
Interesting that USA and German websites don't say that.

LiquiMoly Engine Detox (in some countries) = LiquiMoly Motor Clean (in Germany) : http://www.liqui-moly.com/liquimoly/prod...voiladb=web.nsf

But the best flush from Liqui Moly is LiquiMoly 7592 because of naphtenic base oils (the same as Amsoil engine and transmission flush), not kerosene based.
Kerosene washes oil film...

There is inpependent VOA of LiquiMoly 7592 and Amsoil on Russian site oil-club.ru (you may use built-in translator of Google Chrome to translate from Russian into English):
