Just tell the people a lie long enough and eventually people start to believe it like the nazis did in WW2. I heard that about Pennzoil and sludge and wax and engine falling apart before I joined on here. Used the Ultra Platinum and discovered it was actually pretty good same as Fram filters. Everyone has a different experience. I'm at the point where it works for me I could care less what people think as most haven't used it at all or given it a fair honest chance.Maybe if you keep repeating the same phrase in the same forum thread over and over again people will stop buying it![]()
Could it be possible it increased the compression and that's why it's not leaking? I have heard of MoS2 slowing or stopping minor leaks. I believe it's a mineral based 30 weight do it might be the slightly thicker fluid but I take your word so well done. One interesting and absolutely unexpected result of using Ceratec in my wife's car was it stopped very very slow oil leak.
I'd see a drop or two a week on garage floor, the leak is at rear main and dealer replaced the seal twice under warranty. They offered to replace it again but when we picked up the car after second one I discovered they didn't put clamp back on on top rad hose (saw fluid on floor when back home, close to half of coolant was gone), so no more dealer visits.
Anyway, engine most def likes Ceratec in Forte.
How much Ceratec did you add? The bottle says it treats 3-5L of oil, so basically good for a gallon of oil. Also, the benefits may not be as obvious on larger engines with more that 4 cylinders too.I added Ceratec to my Mercedes-Benz M273 engine about 500 miles ago. No noticeable change in performance or noise.
I wouldnt hold my breath waiting for something to happen. LOLI added Ceratec to my Mercedes-Benz M273 engine about 500 miles ago. No noticeable change in performance or noise.
Me either.I wouldnt hold my breath waiting for something to happen. LOL
something did happen....a little less money in the wallet...Me either.![]()
And possibly a blob of goo at the bottom of the oil pan.something did happen....a little less money in the wallet...![]()
I'll be sure to inspect my oil pan when the shop drops it next week/replaces with a new aluminum one. I have a feeling I know the cause of my broken timing chain tensioner...all that goop! And possibly a blob of goo at the bottom of the oil pan.
I better hide.![]()

not a fan of dusty additives. even more so in modern car.I'll be sure to inspect my oil pan when the shop drops it next week/replaces with a new aluminum one. I have a feeling I know the cause of my broken timing chain tensioner...all that goop!
There won't be I'm just kidding. It disperses very well in oil, I don't think there will be goo anywhere.
Maybe.![]()
Tell that to the members who posted pics of the goo. If it were so good companies like XOM, Pennzoil, HPL, and Amsoil, to name a few would be using it. They're not.It disperses very well in oil, I don't think there will be goo anywhere.
