Found a few reviews on this bike, many claim that quality is closer to Japanese bikes, as "Lifan has been making bikes for over 50 years" and all that good stuff... Definitely seems like a lot of value for the money, but I'm wondering if any of the BITOGers got one, or know someone who got one, and could provide a review... Idk, but I seem to trust online strangers on BITOG more than online strangers elsewhere.
My heart is saying "Cafe Racer with Vintage style for $3k shipped to your door!!! Get it!!!", but my brain keeps repeating "...it's Chinese."
A shot in the dark, I know... But hoping that maybe at least one or twelve of you could chime with some useful info and maybe first hand experience? It is EFI and Liquid cooled btw.

I bought a Honda engine generator and the engine was made in China. Sadly no matter how I try not to buy made in China. It seems everything is made in China. I would spent more $$$ and get a ?Japanese bike no matter where it is made.

I would too normally, but a much smaller and slower Honda Grom for example goes for $4k used and $5k+ new from dealer. And they come with their share of engine issues, despite being a Honda.
After doing more research it does look like a truly well made bike... Despite being Chinese. Lifan is the company that makes all Harbor Freight engines, and those seem to last forever. Company that owns Lifan also owns Volvo and Lotus. I am becoming more and more convinced that my Christmas money will go towards this bike probably... (Hope my wife doesn't kill me...) Hard to find another reliable brand new commuter bike for this price in this market... Doubt it will get the advertised 102mpg though, but I can live with that.
