2018 bmw 328d... it's not new but by '18 they fixed most of the timing chain issues and the best part is no lane keep or other "features"
Oh and 40mpg is easily doable

You will have to save for eventual emissions repair and it may leak oil but it's still cheaper and more comfortable than a new car

Yup, I've been in analysis paralysis mode ever since I bought the Crosstrek 3 years ago, second guessing myself. During this time Zee09 has gone through 200+ different vehicles. Without him, the US auto industry would be in big trouble.

This guy does good tear down videos. He tore down the GM LGX 3.6L (2017-) 3.6 and was surprised how well built it was.

I was happy with this 14 mile run with 9 stop lights. I don't like the mpg meter as if you don't reset it, the old high reading will remain and not update...weird... I was surprised by this as I had about a 5 mile 70 mph stint. I turn off the auto stop for several reasons although smooth due to the 48 volt boost

I imagine flat roads help a lot. The hills where I live take a toll on mpg.

So Waltage the mpgs are stellar..right??.. especially since less than 1400 miles and i must say the Bio-Synxtra 5w-30 as @KCJeep
has been beaten by it already..
