Lets talk about new vehicles

I just finished the Carvana paperwork and am waiting for them to respond. It sucks but I can't live with the rattles and noise... A hybrid right now is gold, but that tells you how bad it is...
I like to think of my Accord's cabin rattle as a little bonus white noise generator that Honda threw in for free! Always looking out for their customers.

I'm having trouble relating to this, having driven primarily Hondas for 40+ years, i guess im lucky as I've had really good dealers and most new Hondas I've ever had were largely trouble free. Occasionally I've had minor glitches and issues but they have always been resolved. Had an Accord that had a rattle in the dashboard, took two tries but turned out to be an unsecured plastic connector. The important thing is having a car that doesn't leave you sitting by the road, rattles and squeaks can usually be resolved with a decent caring dealer and some patience. Unfortunately there are some real stinkers when it comes to dealers, I found you have to do due diligence on the car AND the dealer. I can certainly understand spending $40k+ and being frustrated by the inability to get something properly resolved.

Pay Small; Lose Small. Just gimme a sedan with fold down rear seats.
Yeah I buy low and sell high....
The new owner is thrilled....
I'm happy with the deal.... Carvana with one exception in my experience pays well and more than the rest.

They even lowered my pickup fee $60 today...

Absolutely right there... you can get a check or have the funds wired into your account. I take the checks...
Never an issue with them....
Why take a check when money wired to your account would be instant and way easier? Checks are so old school. I don’t even write checks anymore and the only time I get one is when I get a rebate from Mobil 1 😃

Because the wire is a 2 day thing the check is in your face plus I don't want to go online and fill out the details....I don't need the money instantly either

I just deposited the check and the teller i haven't seen for a year or so said, Did you sell another car... 👀

My buddy in TN which i ruined is thinking about another Maverick...it will be his 5th one and I told him the long fast food lines are now costing me a fortune with no Hybrid....
I got reamed.....another $ he said....
Just joking of course as if it's that bad I'll do curbside ..

OK, so now we own hybrids, I'm still not wasting my life sitting in endless drive-thru lines waiting for overpriced fast food. 1st, we don't eat much fast food and 2nd, im 78, not that much time left to waste, especially in that manner. The whole drive-thru situation is essentially catering to a group of people too damm lazy to park and go in. I don't even like take-out, again, I don't eat in my car, and I really don't like re--heated food. Yes im getting old and kinda grumpy, but if im going out for food, I prefer to eat hot food, served a a table. Looks like most restaurants are now geared to take-out and delivery, I find that kinda sad. Rant over....

Does owning a hybrid make me an EV owner? Hopefully not as I'm still using gasoline and motor oil.
Certainly didn't get any kind of subsidy from anyone for my reduced carbon footprint.

Sport?? What did you buy?
My Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2024 which I have had since new...10k miles on it

Well it's over....
The driver and I started talking and he called in to Carvana and told them he is buying my car. He asked me how I kept it so clean and I told him the secret...never get it dirty in the first place.

I told him everything and he said he drives that big truck so some minor rattles wouldn't bother him and I explained how the hybrid system worked and he had no idea...

He was absolutely smitten with it...

Picture proves it - Honda can’t see the forest for the trees 😷
