Lets talk about new vehicles

They are expensive. But there are record prices for just about everything else. Don't know if a pickup makes sense. And since the lock down they have gone up $12,000.00 . An XLT (mid trim) advertised employee pricing is $52,000.00 . The sticker is $58,000-less $6,000 employee discount and some other incentives. Of course the thing is if it even exists on the dealer's lot-here in the Salt Lake area.
The prices are ridiculous these days... My local Ford dealer must have 300 trucks on the lot .
I don't see them moving like years before

Mitsubishi is having a 15% sale going on and with all models and no fine print they say.

I like the new SE Outlander interior

I just finished the Carvana paperwork and am waiting for them to respond. It sucks but I can't live with the rattles and noise... A hybrid right now is gold, but that tells you how bad it is...

The Accord trunk is amazing...
More room than many compact SUVs
We looked at an 23 Accord Sport L hybrid, 27k miles price was $29,500 certified. We got to drive it before the recon process, drove well but was a off-lease vehicle and looked a tad shabby. Hadn't been terribly abused, but wasn't loved either. Carfax and dealer records showed bare minimum service as you might assume on a lease, we passed on it as the new 26 Civic wasn't that much more.

I wasn't looking forward to them either, the Civic Touring has 18" w/235/40/18's but I replaced the factory Goodyears with Continental Extremecontact DWS06 plus and am very pleased with them.

I did the same thing and felt the same way, until it snowed. Ugh. Continental needs to take the "S" out. I have them back on now and they are great but definitely a 3 season tire.

Well, actually this will be my third set of these, ive driven them in 3-4" of snow and they do fairly well, heavy snow i stay home. Light snow and wet, they are excellent. I really like the quieter ride and great handling.

I am sincerely glad your experience was much better than mine. Best "wet" tire I've ever had though.

It’s all luck of the draw. You should get another one but this time pick up a red one 🤪

Got out early this AM and on the way home I got a call at 7:01....

Last night Honda service sent me another survey... I emailed it back at 9:30 PM... I was very fair but explained the issues have not been fixed...

The caller was Tony at the service center that quick.... he asked me if I could stop by and let the techs drive it etc...
I told him Carvana is coming at 1 to 4 pm to pick it up... He was shocked 😲
I told him it was a phenomenal gas sipper but an absolute torture chamber and I'm done with it..

It's getting worse and more infotainment glitches surfaced as well as new rattles... it drives like a clunker...
He apologized and said he felt that he let me down... I told him it wasn't his fault...
He told me I was no @Pablo and I said I was sorry. He replied, no that's a good thing.....

Honda jumped on that survey....
Oh well...

Well it's over....
The driver and I started talking and he called in to Carvana and told them he is buying my car. He asked me how I kept it so clean and I told him the secret...never get it dirty in the first place.

I told him everything and he said he drives that big truck so some minor rattles wouldn't bother him and I explained how the hybrid system worked and he had no idea...

He was absolutely smitten with it...

You change cars more than underwear.

I dropped this thread because it's a hot junker. The hell wrong with the car this time?
