Lets talk about new vehicles

Cadillac CT4
Not impressed....people here expect more in a $28k Mitsubishi

Infotainment is embarrassing and I really don't care... interior ho hum...
The engine bay looks low rent...
It looks Chinese ( i didn't research ).... RWD???? Yeah up north thats great....
The base price model $45k

The color is glorious before @KCJeep says so...

It doesn't look too bad. If someone likes a compact luxury sedan, it would be a good choice. A Japanese offering would probably be more reliable.
Service under the warranty period could be problematic. Cadillac and Buick dealerships are drying up like fresh mud holes in Death Valley.

I take my Accord in tomorrow and get a loaner... I asked....

It has a recall and I get my free maintenance but my interest is getting the USB and phone charger sorted as they never worked and the belly pan rattle and the rear passenger seat belt area rattle fixed..
If those items get fixed I'll be good.
MPGs are still stellar and averaging 55 mpg
And I forgot the phone issue that comes and goes which is very annoying. I can only get calls if I forward them to the cell...

I fixed it once and a new update crashed it... I've never had a car delivered with this many issues...

I think i got a special version Accord 💩🤡

What a fiasco......
I got up very early as usual. Had a 7:30 service appointment at Honda.
Went out and took out the private documents out of the car and typed up a detail note in the post above this...

Okay all good... i got a sick feeling I better check under my hood. I had some recent issues with mice and never had that in nearly 30 years. Never.....
A few years ago a very small farm started two doors up...I blame that..
It keeps getting bigger too.

I pop the hood up and I have 2 mouse balls under the hood and they smell horrible....well you guys talk about pad slaps but this is the battery slap.... the top of the battery again has a huge mouse nest..

That's enough to set me off...those mouse deterrent balls were supposed to stop this.... @Pablo knows how nasty they are and one was tied to the side of the battery...
It did nothing...
I had to get the shop vac and a hose as all I need is Honda seeing that... disgusting. What a mess.... nothing gets me upset like this...

Then I get to the dealer and they said bring a cc so they can charge $150 incase it gets damaged..
I totally reset my phone a few days ago and my car insurance password no longer comes up...another fiasco.. I was half way thinking of changing the date on my card via AI but thought better of it... I just did a password reset.....
I ran into a service guy which was really an AutoMechanic double about the same age.....he did love himself too...really...

My loaner was a 25 CRV Hybrid and rattle free period...nothing...it had 5k miles on it....and it was quieter in all respects to my 25 Accord.... The seats were heavily bolstered and a bit tight but not uncomfortable.

It handles road imperfections far better too... no rattles coming from the engine compartment either...

I have an electronic device to try in the car and I got rechargeable batteries but I thought those mouse balls would have solved it....oh well.

CRV ....

Since mice completely disconnected the throttle wire in my first xB I've been spraying a mix of peppermint oil and water under the hood of all my vehicles. Supposedly mice don't like it, and just enough of the scent gets into the cabin that my car smells like a candy cane. So far so good.

These are the mouse tablets- balls
I had two tied under the hood..
When you turn your hvac on you get a horrendous blast of rot and it goes away.... I guess these were a fail...

I must have gotten the Friday end of the day Accord....
The CRV has none of those rattles at all...

I have the mesh bags and got a bunch of big peppermint candies 🍬 but after the pellets failed...not so sure... one was tied right next to the battery and nothing...I'm thinking it may be a rat as the nest was vary large. I may get a bait box and put it in the driveway too see what's going on.
