Lets talk about new vehicles

Another neat trick is to take pictures and post them here in the oil change thread which you can pull up if ever needed...
Yep. Do this also. Also post in the new oil filters, tools, VOA, UOA, and other threads. Extra documentation if needed. That's probably part of why I Donate to BITOG, as I consider the donation as a partial storage fee for my documentation, besides this forum being the best I've ever been part of since starting out using 1200 baud modems.

The last OCI, when I switched from using Amsoil Signature Series to HPL Premium Plus Passenger Car Oil, I even shot a short video of doing a flush with a new quart of HPL after draining the Amsoil and before putting the drain plug back on (new crush washer) and adding the HPL, and posted it to YouTube. No talking, but the description has the documentation. The video is completely boring, unless you like to see a quart of HPL being wasted (almost).

I keep my documents separate from my vehicle so they don't "accidentally" get "lost" should I need any further service done at the dealership. I even print out the PDSs for the oils to show the specs they are certified and/or meets or exceeds.

Amazon purchases are easily retrieved if needed too... I donate here but don't use the banner anymore... l like a clean avatar

On the plus side on Interstate 95 this morning the Accord was keeping EV mode at 75 mph with very slight inclines and no attempt at hyper miling.
This was with a healthy crosswind and 35f temps

Time to walk....geez
Home heating oil here got near $6
You’re asking for a death sentence attempting to walk from my house to work. Between the insane drivers & a couple “hoods” that need to be traversed, I’d be another one of the statistics. It’s only 12mi but it’s not a pleasant 12mi.

Another Honda fault for decades in sedans...weak headlights... I have a near $40k sticker Accord EX-L Hybrid with the usual dismal headlights....no standard fog lights.....sad

My old 2010 Insight was the worst.
Going 55mph meant you over ran your headlights...that bad

My 2013 Accord was better however like my 2007 Element...but far from perfect.

When I have to go through Baltimore and DC area on I95 at night it's a big safety issue and the people that drive that area are absolutely insane.
Even very old people drive like maniacs...

The headlights in my Civic are terrible. So much so that I try to never drive it at night if I’m on roads with no street lights. It’s that bad 😬 My Corvette has awesome xenon lights that have no problem on those dark roads.

95 is avoided by me as much as possible. And I think the Baltimore Beltway is just as bad. People think they are playing a video game.
