Lets talk about new vehicles

Expensive trucks....
I have used it several times myself but firmly believe if they killed the #179 tax code that in itself would also put a hit on new truck sales and cost...... not saying I'm for doing that as next year I'll be using it again.

I didn’t think of asking here. Isn’t the paint on new cars horrible? I can confirm with my own eyes:

GM (our own and others on the lot), Toyota, Lexus, Honda, RAM, Dodge, Ford.

My own google search says thin water based paint and rush to cure.

When looking at an angle the orange peel is severe such that reflections are blurry.

I cannot confirm BMW nor any German cars for that matter, which gives me a sliver of hope. I’d still like a M3 base as long as it can have a clutch. This may be 10+ years from now. I’m somewhat patient lol

Some of the best paint I ever had was on Ford trucks and C max all from 2011 on up....

Mazda seems to be about the worst lately.. my Honda looks great and Mitsubishi

Cops were picking people off left and right here today .... most drivers had no clue

The Reddit threads go on and on with explanation, was hoping to see what folks here thought. Apparently another tidbit is robots are “not” necessarily better than humans, which I would have thought.

Here is a reflection from a brand new vehicle on the lot, taken last Saturday. It’s an optional paint to boot. Tri coat maybe. Same reflection on my 2006 or 2007 vehicles and the image is like a mirror. Not squiggly/blurry. The difference between this and body shop work? This looks ok dead on. It’s an angle that reveals the clear being like it is.

We just stopped by Caddy GMC on the way to hockey.

Saw no less than 5 Escalades and 3 GMC Yukons.

All had paint like our 2025 Tahoe. These ranged from $95k to $134k. Maybe it’s like Reddit says. 98% of people don’t care. I’m the odd ball who thinks these are expensive and should have perfect paint hahahahahahahahahaha (world revolves around what I think—NOT!)

Here’s an Escalade at $114k

Look at the severe orange peel

I drove 7 miles just now and 3 people pulled out in front of me.
The last one was while I was going into town doing 35 in a 40 mph zone.

I saw her trying to make a right turn on red. I slowed down and she waited to I was almost next to her and she just pulls out and locks it up like she never saw me...

It has to be the color of the car.
