Lets talk about new vehicles

So about two months ago my long time beloved country bumpkin Ford dealer (large though) got bought out by some outfit I’ve never heard of.

Happened to drive by yesterday and was surprised to see the lot that was normally overstuffed was way thinner and you could tell vehicles were spread out to make it look full. Had to be less than half normal inventory. As usual about all you could see from the highway was trucks, but way fewer of them.

I’m at a loss for an explanation, any ideas?
If you listen to YT the truck market has imploded sort of like the 80% reduction in new homes in Florida.. 😆

A few guesses.... New owner has moved trucks to their other locations, blow out sales and the end of the year is close and you may have 179 tax code buyers like myself buying now....

I'm waiting until 2026 because I will need the 179 tax code break.

Yep-that's why you don't watch Youtube.
Too many "experts" who don't have a clue, failed testing methodology-and the list goes on.

Truck buyers...........

Would you buy a 2026 Tundra?

Sorry I'm late to the party... butttt

As a Toyota fanboy, after I saw CCN's video of the engine teardown out of the new Tundra, nope, no way. I was debating getting one after my Tacoma's lease is up (don't judge me, we all know how often I swap trucks), but after seeing how "weak" the bottom end is on that video there's no way. The little 2.4 turbo in my current truck is waay stronger on the bottom. Another Taco it is.

If I needed a full size, it would probably be an F150 with the 2.7 TT V6.

Why is the 3.4 bottom end weak?

I did see the CCN's video, and the mains did not look too small, the journals anyway. The bearings themselves looked like they did not fit properly. I have seen that type of failure before when the mains were over-torqued. Not saying that is what happened there, could be all kinds of things.

Anyway the failure he had seemed to be the bearings themselves, not the journals.

Here's your woodie. Can get all your junk in this trunk.
