Road trip selection....
Mitsubishi Sport gas hog....️
Accord thrifty but never relaxed...
It feels like a 70s muscle car with a 4 spd manual that you leave in 3rd gear.
Always torqued up
Mitsubishi 2L and cvt so improved it comes off as a lazy V6 with auto trans....32 mpg average in daily driving, no start stop, all the safety features but plain and simple....
You can drive it and work the HVAC etc. without looking
My cheapness wants me to use the Accord . But the Mitsubishi most likely is a better trip choice.
Still deciding which to use...
Kcjeep no doubt will hone in on the cheapness lingo while seated in his new gorgeous green furniture
I believe you.
Just so @KCJeep knows cheapness was involved I got Sunoco gas at $3.05 and Discover is giving 5% off for gas now....
Mitsubishi Sport...forgot to add it to the last post.
Sunoco dropped to $2.93 today plus my 5%.....Five percent is really good.
I use a debit card via Apple pay, I don't get nuttin'. Another example of why I'm broke and you are rolling in it.
Gas is cheaper here though; I pay under 3 for 87 and the 93 Premium Ultimate I've been putting in the Stang has been steady at $3.47 for quite a while.
What about “ Made in America”. Does that come into play?I have prostituted myself to the lowest bidder and did unspeakable things to obtain the ultimate
long range road cruiser. Obviously I have failed and need your help.
What I require............
* Great seats for a bad back and I do not like tiny bottoms in my rides but- never mind... ; )
* Roomy- I hate when they put you in a cubicle like a Ford Taurus
* No Fords- I hate their seats
* No pickups- AWD or FWD fine- CVT is okay
* Very quiet with minimal road noise
* If hwy mpg is below 25 mpg- no thanks- The more the better- MORE!
* Hybrid ok
* Don't need a prestige brand- been there before
* Reliable- Sometimes I will put 3-4K miles on in one week
* Car-SUV-CUV okay
* Budget.. $25K-$55K NEW!
Thanks!
No as long as it's not made in ChinaWhat about “ Made in America”. Does that come into play?
My girlfriend told me that she saw gas at her Costco this week for $1.139 per liter so that’s $3.15 US per gallon. But when I filled up there yesterday it was $1.199 per literHistorically the price of gas up here has been significantly higher than in the US but right now at the Costco near my girlfriends place it’s around $1.20 per liter, which works out to $3.32 US per gallon. Not bad. For the longest time we were closer to $5 US per gallon![]()
I can't complain on top tier price hereMy girlfriend told me that she saw gas at her Costco this week for $1.139 per liter so that’s $3.15 US per gallon. But when I filled up there yesterday it was $1.199 per liter
We had a 97. That generation could be very long lived if you treated it like an on-road vehicle. It had the drivetrain and brakes of a truck but the unibody was less durable when ‘wheeling. Suspension was not capable of safely towing its rated class III capacity. Engine and transmission were bulletproof, seats were good, steered like a car. Bumper could be rebent into shape with hand tools. It was an odd mix of awesome and ok. Great urban snow commuter.Pathfinder ripoff from 1994 View attachment 288404
I guess being in that Amish buggy's draft helped your mileage.....Had a back road run this morning and the Amish were out in full force
Mpgs were stellar..
