Lets talk about new vehicles

I got the EX-L Accord to avoid the 19" tires on the Touring. Glad I did because even the 17" ones with the suspension appear slightly stiff compared to my Arteon with 18" tires.
I'd like to see the Accord slightly softer...not bad at all but with 19" tires I think to me it would be rather irritating.
Even the Mitsubishi Sport with 18" tires is slightly softer...
 
On the vehicle we just ordered, most have 24" rims added which are a $2200+ option and make the profile 40 series, which seems disadvantageous on a SUV. I also broke my own rule. I said I only get optional rims when the tire is wider, not when it's the same width. The 24's are 285's when the standard rims have 275's. I went with lower cost and higher profile. Rather have a 50 series over a 40 series. I did check the weight capacity and the 40's are even higher if you can believe that, but I want less unsprung weight, even though the car doesn't have springs lol (air ride)

I would have jumped on a F87 M2 CS if I could have found one in my price range, but that's the only newer Bimmer I could see myself owning.

I've had a 2007 335i 6 manual ZSP for 18.5 years. It's currently my daily driver. No screens so I have to look over my shoulder when backing up!

BMW stopped giving me loaners in 2022 (take it to dealer because they charge less for a PA State Inspection than a garage does--$37 and gave a loaner). This means the last new BMW I drove was a 2023 330i. I, for the life of me, cannot stand the BMW digital speedo and tach. I'm ok with a screen, just make the gauges look like dials, not PS5. One thing that will never come back, and is gone for good, the way the steering feels on my car. All the control stalks on the new BMWs are like every other car, really a shame they had to go mainstream. I love no detent on the turn signal stalk, wipers, cruise.

Sad to me is the lack of manuals at BMW. I believe only M2 and base M3/4 can have them.

I got used to the centered digital speedometer setup with a basic speedometer to the right. My new car is no different.
I really like Hondas new HVAC controls as they feel like ball bearing ones with crisp clicks....it's the little things.

I have 18’s on the Mustang on purpose. First one I drove was on 20’s and it about knocked my fillings out.
 
The ride of my Corvette is actually quite comfortable even with 245-35-19s up front and 285-30-20s out back. The base suspension in the C7 is more of a touring setup and even though it’s not “Cadillac soft” it’s still very comfortable for all day driving trips. I never feel like I’m being punished on long drives.

In a Vette I'd assume some minor harshness depending on the trim but suv's and family sedans not interested....

Even my Uber model S, like you said wasn't bad at all.

I need to get rid of the 19's on the wife's Toyota. I am actually thinking of going 225/75R16 truck tire. Yes they fit, this is the 225/75/16 spare I got for it when we bought the car. And yes, I did grow up on a farm.

If I can find some decent old 16 inch Lexus wheels I think it might be OK.

I saw some 21s on new Explorers
I think of replacement costs too
 
I like the Supersport display on the C43 (there are two other available displays- Classic and Sport). There are several display options for either side of the central tachometer. Contrast that with BMWs configuration options- there really aren’t any.

I wanted to buy a Vette this year but have no garage space. That killed that deal
