Lets talk about new vehicles

Like you I had most everything already
The old EC was too tight- looks like they used Ford seats
The GDI with port injection is better for me... Plus easy oil changes with 7317 filters for which I already have
The Cross mpg is disturbing but the 1.5L hasn't the Honda issues

Come on KC don't be that guy....lol
Oh well I tried...
My attraction to Mitsubishi is not what you think. I had some real good times in one. I bought them for run arounds.
Im like the old VW bus dude with stickers all over it.
The best test drive I ever had was with a sales lady named Christine..
Might have to tell that one

I have to get into a 2022 Eclipse Cross and see what they did with it.

I actually think you should buy the Mitsubishi. It's been one of the most consistent contenders throughout this thread. I think that's where your heart is too.

You've go about 20 pages to get it done. :p

Can I tell the Christine story now KC- it is a 100% true.............. Actually Christina...

Somebody in this thread said that their wife did not see anything at Ford

I have had 5 Fords since 2011
Honestly I think Ford is blowing it. I see nothing I want there either.
Seriously they should go back to the Ford Trucks sign only

Yeah Jim you would be correct now I’m getting ready to leave because it’s slowing down again. Done four oil changes that’s all that came in and it’s just slow again. How did you know my blood was iron rich? And it also has additives like gas, oil, anti seize, PB Blaster, WD40, Diesel, loctite, whatever other chemicals I’ve been exposed too. Lol. You know I would never give blood Jim.

@KCJeep
You change your own oil on that Passat KC?

Sometimes. If it's due for any scheduled maintenance I let the dealer do the oil change as well. It's coming up to it's 50k service and nothing scheduled other than the oil change at 50k so I will do it myself. Also did that at 30k, and drained the factory fill at 2,300 then ran it to 10k for it's first dealer service.

The Passat from 2018 is one of the last V6 engines produced for that vehicle.
It's easily worth the premium (total sleeper) to find one, as most are all 4 cyl turbo

You are absolutely right! I started looking for an SEL-P with the VR6 but none were to be had anywhere by the time I was ready to buy. Then I landed on the GT which was still obtainable. I previously drove a 17 R-line with the 1.8t and liked it fine, but the 18 with the newer 2.0 simply drove awful. I blame it more on the "Camry killer" transmission programming than the engine.

The VR6 coupled with the DSG is an amazing combo and I enjoy it everyday. Can't believe I've got it in my Passat, even the flagship Arteon gets a 2.0 with an 8 speed Aisin in this country.
