Lets talk about new vehicles

I dumped Honda years ago after my 13 Accord Sport. No bash but I ruled them out too. Axed Lincoln as well.
Not really digging their style anymore.

Subaru isn't off the list yet.
Do you buy a brand because the oil filter is easy to get to???
Not sure. Their styling doesn't excite me either. But they are still in the running.

Hyundai and Kia twins
They are being compared with Honda for reliability.
That said are they equal to the old Honda or the new Honda which fell from grace?
They are still on the list.
Thoughts anyone?

Ev's are off the list.
None can do a 1000 mile run without wasted time and drama.
For local use VW with that unlimited 3 year charging was awesome but not useful for long sprints.

I probably should have said lets talk about new cars originally as I find many have pm'd me
with the same issues and it has been very informative on all sides.
I did order a car but it was not to the specifications I had listed at the start of this thread.
The car I ordered is simply for entertainment and I have no idea how long it will take to arrive.
I got a great PM this morning from a member with very good-great info. He can mention his name
as it may not be appropriate for me to do so. And I would like to thank another member here who had reached out to me
and he apologized even though it was not warranted and I consider him a stand up guy. I really do.

That said I visited Mazda yesterday and although the lot was about vacant I got to sit in and look over all the carbon edition
M6-CX5-9.. The weather was pretty bad but I must say the quality of these vehicles is head and shoulders above anything in their price range.
Very impressive.

The new dealer showroom reminds me of a 60's McDonalds with about that much parking. Very tiny indeed.

My local Ford dealer has a Vacant lot- never seen that in my life- Overnight 60-70 new vehicles showed up. Amazing

On the Mazda trio I did find the M6 had the most comfortable seats of all
Although all are red the 6 does not bolster you to death.
One persons opinion but Lincoln never came off as quality oriented as a regular run of the mill Mazda 6

I found it funny how much the Mazda guy wanted my C-Max in on trade- most could care less-weird

Yes, it was locked. It appears that the mod comments on justification were also removed along with the lock.
I removed my own comment, as inappropriate, after talking with the OP.

The focus is more on new cars, as the OP has already picked a new vehicle.

The thread is unlocked, title revised, and I hope the discussion remains focused on cars.

Thank you gentlemen.

I assume the Nissan Rogue Sport is essentially their version of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport??
I never gave it too much attention.

i am always very pleased whenever i drive my wife’s 2014 cvt 2.5 outback, but i am never sure if that is because it really is a great car or just that everything else i drive is a gas-guzzling, poor-handling, knuckle-dragging relic.

Yeah that's me- I'm a fan of great mpg's

Not so yet- I think the 2022 models will be on the same platform but not a few year ago models
